Adidas Flagship Store Relaunch with AR Experience

The Background
Adidas aimed to create an engaging relaunch for their flagship store in the bustling Tsim Tsa Tsui street in Hong Kong. As a prelude to the grand launch event, they wanted to offer people a fun AR engagement centered around their two iconic lines: Original and Performance. To achieve this, we collaborated with Weglow, a local creative agency, to bring the AR concept to life through 3D modeling, animation, and AR development.

The AR characters, representing the Original and Performance lines, were meticulously crafted using Cinema 4D and optimized for web using 8th Wall AR technology. These characters embody a sense of fun, iconography, and adorableness that aligns with the Adidas brand.

Users could scan a QR code or access the AR experience directly from social media platforms. Once activated, the flagship store transformed into a vibrant shoe box, with the animated characters appearing before them. With energetic and groovy movements, the characters playfully jumped and skated around, guiding and enticing people to visit the store. The entire AR experience could be recorded and shared on social media, creating a buzz and generating excitement.

The Result
Through this innovative AR engagement, Adidas successfully drew attention to their flagship store, leveraging technology and creativity to provide a memorable and shareable experience for their audience.
